Focus group discussion on the status of Paniya tribe
Neethi Vedhi organized a focus group discussion on 28th May 2026 regarding the status of Paniya tribe in Wayanad district.

A one-day Tribal Students Empowerment Programme was organized at Vellamunda Panchayath under the joint initiative of Neethi Vedhi and Vellamunda Vijnan Library.
The meeting, presided over by Mr. K K Chandrasekharan, President, Vinjan library, was inaugurated by Mrs. Kamar Laila, Panchayath President. Adv. Fr. Stephen Mathew, Neethi Vedhi President delivered the keynote address. Panchayath Vice President Mrs. Lathika M, members Mrs. Shaiji Shibu, Mr. Suresh, Mr. Sudhakaran, Mrs. Geetha C C, and CDS Chairperson Mrs. Sakeena Koduva offered felicitations. Five students who passed the 10th standard were honoured. Neethi Vedhi Director Mrs. Flaisy Jose, Counsellor Mrs. Surya S Binu, Mananthavady Taluk Field Coordinator Mr. M K Chandran, Kumari Sangeetha, and Kumari Rithu Surya facilitated the programme. A total of 91 children from the tribal hamlets of Karattukunnu, Padakkottukunnu, Karingari, Mangalassery, Mundakkal, Narokkadavu, Chirammoola, and Iranamkunnu in Vellamunda Panchayath participated in the programme.
