International Indigenous Peoples' Day Organising Committee Meeting
The Organising Committee meeting for the observance of International Indigenous Peoples' Day was held on 27 July at the Sultan Bathery Municipality.

Mr. Biju Kakkathod, Neethi Vedhi Bathery taluk coordinator, took initiative to convene women from Kalluvayal Paniya Hamlet in Sultan Bathery Municipality with a vision to engage them actively for addressing the major issues faced by the families in the hamlet. Ms. Soorya S, the family counselor of Neethi Vedhi, facilitated the discussions. It was decided to meet regularly in the hamlet so that they could become agents of change in the social life of the people. Ms. Saradha was selected president and Ms. Saradha Ayyappan was chosen as secretary of the women club.
