International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples: Organising Committee Formed
In connection with the observance of the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples 2026, a broad-based Organising Committee was constituted.

Neethi Vedhi organized a focus group discussion on 28th May 2026 regarding the status of Paniya tribe in Wayanad district. The participants were mainly academicians and social activists involved in tribal related issues. Dr. Thomas Joseph Therakam moderated the discussions. It's decided to initiate a scientific study regarding various crucial areas of human rights violations affecting the life and development of Paniya communities. A core team was selected with Mr. Manikandan as the coordinator.
