On September 1, 2026, a Focus Group Discussion with Oorumooppans (traditional tribal elders) was conducted at Neethi Vedhi office from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m, as part of a research study on the status of the Paniya community in Wayanad district. Sixteen persons participated in the discussion.
