District Peace Forum

The executive meeting of Neethi Vedhi district peace forum was held in the afternoon on 29th June 2021. Mr. K I Thomas, the chairman presided over the meeting. Ms Flaisy Jose presented the report. The meeting evaluated the activities of peace forum in the last few months. It was felt that inspite of covid restrictions, a number of meaningful interventions could be made to protect peace in the community through mediation. It was decided to form a WhatsApp group for the Adivasi members of panchayats and provide information regarding ways and means for the development of tribal communities. The meeting decided to convene panchayat peace committee meetings within two months. It was proposed to convene a district level meeting of leaders representing different religions in Wayanad within a month to ensure collaboration and communal harmony. Mr. Unnikrishnan Chikkalloor proposed vote of thanks.
